  • Roman. Medal belonging to the series of Jean Dassier illustrating Roman history from the foundation of Rome by Romulus to the rise of Augustus. This medal commemorates the Humanity of Julius Caesar when he was presented the head of his rival Pompey the Great by Ptolemaic envoys once he debarked at Alexandria following to his victory at Pharsalus during the Summer 48 BC.
