  • France. Medal by Frederic Vernon commemorating the “Banquet de Tuileries Maires de France” held on the 22nd September 1900. “The event on the occasion of the 1900 Exposition Universelle was a gigantic banquet to which were invited all the mayors of France. 22,956 guests responded to the invitation. Two huge tents were erected in the Garden of the Tuileries that were interconnected by perpendicular tents. 700 tables, each 10 meters long, accommodated from 32 to 35 seats”.
